We have asked David Cooperrider why he said 'yes' to facilitate MADE, but we are just as curious to know why you said 'yes' to our invitation to participate in this event.

Why is it important for you to participate in this summit in this season in your life?

I participate in the summit because I believe that being connected is the first and essential step towards a society in which everybody can participate. So the question intrigues me (above all the combination of words - radical and connectedness) and I am anxious to see what we can learn from being connected with so many people during MADE! Toen Mariël me vroeg was ik heel blij en hoefde ik geen moment na te denken of ik mee wilde doen. Ik ben heel benieuwd naar een AI summit met zo'n grote groep, dat alleen al lijkt me leerzaam. En natuurlijk helemaal met David Cooperider! Verder ben ik benieuwd welke nieuwe, mooie en kansrijke ideeën we met zo'n divers gezelschap kunnen bedenken en uitwerken. I'm looking forward to MADE. I'ld like to experience how appreciative inquiry works, especially with a group of peoplo who do not know eachother. I expect to meet positive people, with great ideas but also with questions about how to implement these ideas in these world we created.

I have a concern about the future of our world, and the leadership crisis we seem to be in. In our organisations we need to think carefully abut our role in the world and the difference we seek to make. Are we relevant? Are we having an impact? Is our impact big enough? How do we support people to work effectively with the big problems we face?

I resonate with the word "radical" as it speaks to me of real and holistic societal, economic and environmental transformation for Everyone - not just a privileged minority. This is the abiding question for me: how do we create a socially just and sustainable world for everyone? Where every living being flourishes whilst acknowledging the 3 fundamental ecological laws: diversity, interdependance and finite resources.



I do think AI is a powerful philosophy and methodology to help us move beyond the stark inequality, social injustice and environmental devastation in the world at this time. I'm attending this summit to re-member this and be re-minded; to reconnect, be inspired and learn from the best!

I feel the 'season' I am in at the moment is about the question; How can I have meaning (in the world, in our society) with the work that I do? And. maybe even more so, with who I am? Samen maken we deze summit door elkaar van harte te ontmoeten en veel kleine verhalen te delen die samen staan voor een groot verhaal.
Ik ben benieuwd naar wat we vertellen over 'flourishing' en de vele bewegingen die al gaande zijn. Deze rijke oogst is het begin van dit waarderende onderzoek. We build on what is strong. Ik zie voor me hoe we met een cruise terminal vol mensen open staan voor elkaars ervaringen en ideeen en deze nog veel groter maken. Zodat we inspiratie en concrete plannen hebben waar we een verschil mee gaan maken als K&S en in ieders eigen leefwereld. Lees meer...
